Roles and Responsibilities

· Software Development: Create in-house tools, scripts, and software to automate repetitive tasks, such as generating reports or performing structural calculations.

· CAD/BIM Customization: Configure, customize, and maintain software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation to meet company-specific design standards.

· Data Management & Visualization: Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and databases (SQL) to manage, analyse, and visualize spatial data.

· System Integration: Integrate various engineering software tools into a unified, efficient workflow for design and construction teams.

· Debugging & Troubleshooting: Identify and fix bugs in engineering software and technical scripts.

Required Skills

· Programming Languages: Python (highly valued for automation/GIS), C++, C#, MATLAB, VBA, and sometimes Fortran for legacy structural analysis.

· Civil Engineering Software: Proficiency in Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Civil 3D), Bentley Systems (MicroStation), or similar.

· Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical background to understand and apply engineering principles (static/dynamic loads, stress/strain) into code.
