Job Title: Purchasing Executive – Civil & Finishing Materials Procurement

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Executive with a strong civil engineering background to lead end-to-end procurement for our construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring all categories of construction materials—ranging from structural materials (steel, cement, aggregates, R-sand, M-sand) to finishing materials (tiles, electricals, sanitaryware, bathroom fittings, furniture, lighting, doors & windows, paints, hardware, modular components, and interior materials).

This role requires deep understanding of civil construction workflows, BOQs, material specifications, market pricing, supplier ecosystems, and nationwide vendor networks. The ideal candidate must be capable of dealing directly with big-brand manufacturers and suppliers across India to secure competitive pricing, maintain quality, and ensure timely delivery for multi-phase residential and township projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement of Core Civil Materials

• Purchase bulk structural materials including:

• TMT steel (all grades), structural steel

• Cement (OPC/PPC/PSC)

• River sand, M-sand, aggregates

• Bricks, blocks, shuttering materials, concrete consumables

• Waterproofing chemicals & admixtures

• Analyze BOQs and project material requirements to plan purchases.

2. Procurement of Finishing & Interior Materials

• Source and procure all finishing materials including:

• Tiles, marble, granite, natural stone

• Bathroom fittings, sanitaryware, CP fittings

• Electrical materials—switches, wires, panels, lighting fixtures

• Hardware, doors, windows, UPVC/aluminum profiles

• Furniture (modular/custom), kitchen fittings

• Paints, false ceiling materials, interior finishing supplies

• Appliances/electronics for premium homes if required

3. Vendor Development & Negotiation

• Build and manage a strong nationwide vendor/supplier network.

• Directly deal with top brands in cement, steel, tiles, sanitaryware, and electricals.

• Conduct detailed price comparisons across multiple suppliers across India.

• Negotiate volume discounts, freight terms, GST benefits, and credit terms.

• Conduct vendor audits and ensure consistent material quality.

4. Purchase Planning & Material Tracking

• Align purchase schedules with project timelines and site execution plans.

• Continuously monitor market price trends for civil and finishing materials.

• Forecast materials and maintain optimum inventory across project sites.

• Coordinate logistics, transportation, and delivery schedules to avoid site delays.

• Maintain complete documentation for POs, GRNs, invoices, AMC warranties (for fixtures), and material test certificates.

5. Cost Optimization & Compliance

• Achieve cost savings through strategic sourcing and long-term vendor relations.

• Prepare rate comparison sheets, purchase reports, and MIS dashboards.

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, quality standards, and statutory norms.

• Support budgeting and cost-control teams with procurement insights.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering (mandatory)

Professional Experience

• 5–10 years experience in procurement within the civil construction / contracting / real estate / infrastructure industry.

• Must have hands-on experience procuring both:

• Structural materials (steel, cement, aggregates, R-sand, M-sand)

• Finishing materials (tiles, sanitary, electricals, fittings, furniture, appliances, etc.)

• Proven track record of pan-India vendor negotiations and dealing with major manufacturers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
