Civil Quantity Surveyor / Estimation engineer(senior)

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team and play a key role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost management, BOQ preparation, and contractor payments, ensuring our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets and expenditures.

BOQ and Estimation: Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for construction activities.

Payment Certification: Validate and process contractor and subcontractor invoices.

Material Tracking: Track material usage on-site and prevent wastage.

Contractual Compliance: Review and negotiate contract terms to ensure financial fairness and compliance.

Change Management: Manage and assess variations, ensuring changes are documented and approved.

Forecasting: Provide accurate cost forecasts and project cost reports to management.

Risk Analysis: Identify financial risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and correspondence.

Collaboration: Work closely with project manager, procurement teams, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects, preferably in the UAE.

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, FIDIC, and local regulations.

Proficiency in quantity surveying software

Extensive Experience in civil projects and general knowledge of Mep

Knowledge of cost-saving strategies and value engineering and rates as per UAE market.
