Key roles and responsibilities
- Project planning and management:
- Reviewing project plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Conducting site investigations and analyzing data to identify potential challenges.
- Developing project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinating with clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
- On-site supervision:
- Supervising and directing construction activities to ensure work is performed correctly.
- Setting out sites and ensuring the accuracy of the work.
- Managing site activities and resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Providing technical advice and solving problems as they arise on site.
- Quality and safety:
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
- Performing regular inspections and quality checks on the work being done.
- Ensuring that the highest quality materials are used and that all work meets industry standards.
- Reporting and administration:
- Preparing and submitting progress reports.
- Logging progress and maintaining project documentation and records.
- Managing project budgets and purchasing equipment and materials.
