Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Monitor day-to-day construction activities on site.
- Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Allocate tasks to foremen, supervisors, and labor teams.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to maintain workflow and productivity.
2. Quality Control
- Inspect materials, workmanship, and construction processes.
- Conduct tests (e.g., slump test, cube test) and maintain QC records.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes (IS/BS/ASTM) and project specifications.
- Identify and rectify defects or deviations.
3. Planning & Coordination
- Prepare daily/weekly work progress plans.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Architects, Structural Engineers, and MEP teams.
- Attend site meetings and update stakeholders on progress.
4. Measurements & Documentation
- Maintain site records: DPR (Daily Progress Report), site diary, checklists.
- Measure quantities of executed work for billing and BOQ verification.
- Assist in preparing RA bills and subcontractor payments.
- Document material consumption and inventory.
5. Material & Resource Management
- Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Verify material quality before use.
- Manage labor productivity and optimize resource use.
6. Safety Management
- Implement safety rules and ensure all workers follow PPE requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Report and prevent accidents, hazards, and unsafe practices.
7. Surveying & Leveling
- Use instruments such as Auto-level, Total Station, and Laser level.
- Check alignments, levels, and dimensions before/during execution.
8. Problem-Solving & Technical Support
- Resolve site-related technical issues quickly.
- Provide technical guidance to workers and supervisors.
- Coordinate design clarifications (RFIs) with consultants if required.
9. Compliance & Inspection
- Facilitate inspections with consultants/clients.
- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance (local building codes, legal requirements).
