Site Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated Site Engineer to manage and oversee on-site Floor coating activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, coordinating between different stakeholders, and ensuring that quality standards are met. This role requires both technical expertise and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Management:
• Oversee the construction site on a daily basis to ensure all activities are carried out according to the project schedule.
• Coordinate with contractors, and other site personnel to ensure smooth operations and that tasks are completed on time.
• Monitor site safety, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Supervise and manage the quality of work being carried out, ensuring it meets the required standards.
• Technical Support & Planning:
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure that construction is being executed according to plan.
• Ensure all necessary materials and resources are available on-site and manage inventory.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to resolve technical issues or discrepancies on-site.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential problems or delays, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Coordination & Communication:
• Liaise between the project manager, construction teams, and clients to ensure clear communication and resolve any project issues.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, including work completed, upcoming tasks, and any potential risks or delays.
• Manage project documentation, including reports, logs, and regulatory documents, ensuring everything is up to date and compliant.
• Health & Safety:
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, identifying risks and ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Promote a safety-first culture on the site and provide guidance on safe work practices.
• Quality Control:
• Perform inspections and tests to ensure that the work meets all regulatory and project specifications.
• Address quality control issues and ensure that the work is completed to the highest standards.
• Project Support:
• Assist with project budgeting, estimating, and procurement of materials and resources.
• Monitor and report on the project timeline, identifying areas where the project may be at risk of delays.
• Ensure the project is compliant with local building codes, laws, and other regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (2 years) as a Site Engineer or in a similar role in the Floor Coating.
• UAE Driving Licence
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management processes.
• Familiarity with construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Procore) and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents.
