Civil Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Design and Planning:
• Design and plan civil engineering aspects of maintenance projects, such as structural repairs, roadworks, drainage systems, and other infrastructure.
• Perform site assessments and provide technical recommendations for maintenance and repair projects.
• Supervision of Maintenance Projects:
• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of ongoing maintenance projects.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and the maintenance team to ensure efficient execution.
• Quality Control and Compliance:
• Conduct regular inspections of construction and maintenance sites to ensure work complies with safety regulations, local codes, and company standards.
• Ensure high-quality standards in the maintenance and repair work done on all infrastructure.
• Structural Integrity Assessments:
• Evaluate the structural integrity of existing facilities and infrastructure, identifying any required repairs or reinforcements.
• Provide recommendations for the improvement and ongoing maintenance of buildings and facilities to enhance durability.
• Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for maintenance and repair projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure work is completed within budget.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Coordinate with other engineering teams, contractors, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth project flow.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and updates to management and clients.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of project activities, including drawings, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, assessments, and maintenance schedules to senior management.
• Health and Safety:
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide safety training to on-site workers and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (required)
• Experience:
• 4-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in a maintenance or construction environment.
• Experience in project management and overseeing maintenance projects.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, structural design, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design and drafting software.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
