Civil Site Engineer

Job Purpose

The Civil Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities on site to ensure that projects are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role requires strong technical knowledge, site management capability, and effective coordination with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Site Supervision

• Supervise daily construction activities on site to ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within the planned schedule.

Quality Control

• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented when necessary.
• Coordinate with consultants for inspections and approvals.

Project Coordination

• Liaise with project managers, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to site teams.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily site reports, progress reports, and site documentation.
• Maintain records of work completed, material usage, and manpower on site.
• Support preparation of project schedules and updates.

Material & Resource Management

• Monitor delivery and usage of construction materials on site.
• Ensure materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with procurement teams regarding site requirements.

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with site safety policies and regulations.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure workers follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience

• 3–7 years of experience in civil engineering within the construction industry.
• Experience supervising building or infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience working on projects in the UAE or GCC is preferred.
