Civil Site Engineer Experience in Piling and Shoring Foundation

Minimum experince of 5 years .

1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Review project specifications, drawings, and geotechnical reports related to piling and shoring works.

2. Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise daily piling operations such as rotary piles, micro piles, driven piles, and CFA (if applicable).
• Oversee shoring works including soldier piles, sheet piles, secant piles, diaphragm walls, and strutting/bracing systems.
• Ensure proper setting out, orientation, and alignment of piles before drilling.
• Verify borehole depth, diameter, reinforcement cage installation, and concrete pouring.

3. Quality Control & Compliance

• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, Dubai Municipality regulations, and industry standards.
• Monitor verticality, pile integrity, and shoring installation accuracy.
• Ensure testing is conducted such as PIT test, load test, and concrete cube tests.
• Review and approve material quality (steel, concrete, bentonite, shoring materials).

4. Health, Safety & Environmental Management

• Ensure all piling and shoring works follow safety protocols and risk assessments.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure proper PPE usage on site.
• Monitor and mitigate environmental impacts like vibration, noise, and ground movement.

5. Technical Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, method statements, and inspection requests (IRs).
• Maintain records of drilling logs, concrete pouring logs, testing reports, and as-built data.
• Assist in preparing technical submittals and responding to consultant comments.

6. Problem Solving & Site Challenges

• Identify geotechnical issues such as hard strata, groundwater, collapsible soil, or obstructions.
• Provide technical solutions in coordination with the project manager and design team.
• Manage site challenges like equipment breakdown, site access, and sequencing constraints.

7. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with surveyors for setting out and verification.
• Work closely with the HSE team to ensure safe execution.
• Communicate with suppliers, batching plants, and testing laboratories.

8. Performance Monitoring

• Monitor productivity of piling rigs, cranes, and support equipment.
• Track daily progress vs. planned schedule.
• Ensure efficient use of manpower and materials to minimize wastage and costs.
• Assist in planning site activities, sequencing of works, and resource allocation (equipment, manpower, materials).
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.

Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month
