Civil & Structural Engineer

Job Description:

A leading construction and engineering firm based in Dubai is seeking a qualified and experienced Steel Structural engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and water supply systems.

Requirements:

• Engineer should have an active SOE card
• G+1 Steel Constructions Contracting license from Dubai Municipality

Responsibilities:

1. Design & Analysis

• Analyze and design steel structures such as buildings, bridges, industrial facilities, towers, and platforms.
• Prepare structural calculations for loads (dead, live, wind, seismic, etc.).
• Select appropriate steel sections, connections, and materials.
• Ensure designs comply with local and international codes and standards (e.g., AISC, BS, Eurocode).

2. Drawings & Documentation

• Prepare and review structural drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Develop design reports, method statements, and technical specifications.
• Review and approve contractor and fabricator submissions.

3. Coordination & Collaboration

• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, civil engineers, and contractors.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, erection, and construction stages.
• Resolve design and site-related structural issues.

4. Construction & Site Support

• Conduct site inspections to ensure steel works are executed as per approved drawings.
• Monitor quality, safety, and compliance during steel erection.
• Provide solutions for site constraints and design modifications.

5. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure structural safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness of steel designs.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform structural assessments and strengthening designs when required.

6. Project & Technical Management

• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation related to steel works.
• Review RFIs (Requests for Information) and technical queries.
• Support authority approvals and third-party reviews when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
