Swatara Law Group is seeking a civil trial attorney with 2+ years of experience practicing in the State of Florida to join our growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity offering remote work flexibility, with travel required for meetings, depositions, and court appearances. Our primary practice areas include Business Disputes, Breach of Contract, Personal Injury, First Party Property, Family Law, and other civil matters.

We are looking for an attorney who is excellent with clients, maintains frequent and proactive communication, and can manage cases independently from intake through trial. Candidates must be self-sufficient, hardworking, driven, and articulate. You will work directly under the firm’s Managing Partner and will be responsible for your own litigation caseload.

A successful candidate will have experience with written discovery, motions practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation, with the ability to take a case all the way to verdict when required.

Job Duties

  • Manage civil cases from initial client intake through trial.
  • Drafting of pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence
  • Efficiently and competently research legal issues
  • Communicate clearly both orally and in writing
  • Ability to manage deadlines with minimal to no supervision
  • Maintain regular, proactive communication and interim updates with clients
  • Meet deadlines and handle caseload with minimal supervision
  • Provide exceptional client service and build strong attorney–client relationships

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of litigation experience
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Regular statewide travel for court appearances
  • Strong understanding of Florida Civil Procedure
  • Ability to manage cases efficiently from inception to trial
  • Former State Prosecutor experience (Preferred)
  • Spanish-Speaking (Preferred)

Compensation

  • Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, and market factors.
  • Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, and Travel Expense Reimbursement.
