Position Overview

Phasor Engineering is seeking an experienced Structure Engineer – Transmission Line to lead structural design, analysis, and optimization of transmission line towers and foundations. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in TL structural engineering, strong knowledge of relevant standards, and experience in completing end-to-end design packages for 132kV to 765kV transmission projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Design & Analysis

• Perform detailed design and analysis of transmission line towers, foundations, and associated structures.
• Develop tower spotting, sag–tension calculations, and line profiling.
• Use design software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, etc.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Conduct structural optimization for cost-effective and reliable designs.

Engineering Documentation

• Review technical drawings, IFC/GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and design reports.
• Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, IEEE, ASCE, and utility-specific standards.
• Coordinate with drafting teams to finalize tower and foundation detail drawings.

Project Coordination

• Work closely with project managers, procurement, construction, and QA/QC teams.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, site execution, and tower testing.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and technical clarifications.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all designs meet safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform checks for wind load, conductor load, topography, and environmental conditions.
• Implement best structural engineering practices and quality control procedures.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong experience in Transmission Line structural engineering (10–12 years).
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, STAAD.Pro, and related TL design tools.
• Deep understanding of IS/IEC/IEEE standards related to transmission line design.
• Ability to interpret soil investigation reports and design suitable foundations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Educational Qualification

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with transmission line design from 132kV to 765kV.
• EPC project background or experience with utilities/consultancies.
• Experience in tower testing, optimization, and design validation.
