Claims & Compliance Specialist (FMCSA / Highway)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Claims & Compliance Specialist with expertise in FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and highway safety standards. In this vital role, you will ensure that our operations adhere to all relevant federal and state transportation laws, while proactively managing claims, risk assessments, and compliance procedures. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will help safeguard our organization’s reputation, optimize safety protocols, and streamline claims processes across highway transportation activities. • Handle and manage freight claims and disputes
• Communicate with brokers, insurance companies, and shippers
• Resolve compliance issues with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
• Work with carrier verification platforms such as Highway
• Investigate issues related to carrier compliance, freight guards, and reports
• Maintain proper documentation and follow up until resolution
• Coordinate with dispatch and safety departments

Preferred:

• Experience in trucking, logistics, or freight brokerage
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and compliance
• Experience handling cargo claims or freight disputes
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to solve problems quickly and professionally
• Good organizational skills

• Experience with Highway, Carrier411, or similar platforms
• Background in safety, compliance, or claims department
