Claims Quality Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Claims Quality Analyst is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims while ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards. This role combines claims handling expertise with quality assurance, audit, and training responsibilities.

The position supports operational excellence by developing and maintaining policies and procedures, delivering training programs, conducting quality audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across claims and operational processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Claims Management & Analysis

  • Investigate, analyze, evaluate, and resolve claims of minimal to moderate complexity
  • Negotiate claim settlements in accordance with company policies and best practices
  • Identify potentially suspicious or high-risk claims
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of claim data and documentation
  • Guide customers through the claims process with a high level of service and professionalism
  • Mitigate loss and control expenses through effective claims handling techniques

Quality Assurance & Audit

  • Conduct quality reviews and audits of claims and operational processes
  • Assess internal controls, efficiency, and effectiveness of workflows
  • Provide reporting and recommendations to leadership for process improvement
  • Drive compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Develop, implement, and maintain claims, operational, audit, and training policies and procedures
  • Continuously evaluate processes and recommend enhancements to improve quality and performance
  • Support standardization of best practices across the organization

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work cross-functionally with claims, operations, and leadership teams
  • Foster a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

Education / Certifications / Licenses

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3+ years of experience in claims handling and processing
  • 2-3+ years of experience in quality, audit, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of claims processes, customer service, and negotiation techniques
  • Understanding of applicable statutes, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to make sound, timely decisions using independent judgment
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and maintain professional relationships
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to ~10%)
  • Passport required (no travel restrictions)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work with period of sitting, standing, walking and bending.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Open office environment (Business casual). Occasional travel with exposure to varying conditions.
