Claims Services Manager

CLAIMS SERVICES MANAGER

Join our team and play a key role in supporting the success of our Claims Department! In this position, you’ll provide essential administrative support while also leading and mentoring our Claims Services team. You’ll help guide staff to work efficiently and reach their full potential, especially in navigating our Claims System and day-to-day operations.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our claims services by contributing ideas and recommendations that improve processes and performance. You’ll also oversee SIU claim files, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while serving as a trusted resource for property and auto technical expertise.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Supervises and trains Claims Services personnel as assigned by the department.
  • Responsible for activity related to the Claims System and all claims processing and administration by Claims Services Assistants.
  • Works closely with software vendors to monitor, update and authorize changes in users, products and pricing.
  • Develops and manages all vendor relations for the Claim Department.
  • Coordinates all aspects of our TPA subrogation vendor, including guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist all claims staff as to ISO and Flagship Services products and is mindful of all compliance issues related to same.
  • Responsible for managing and making all decisions relative to the Special Investigations Unit claim files.
  • Coordinate projects as assigned.
  • Primary job functions involve exercising independent judgment with a wide degree of creativity and latitude being required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a college degree or equivalent and 5+ years of property and/or casualty experience or related claims knowledge plus 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Ability to read, problem solve and pay close attention to details.
  • Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both orally and in writing in a professional manner.
  • Ability to communicate directives and write reports and documents in a professional manner.
  • Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market.
  • Must maintain valid driver's license – occasional travel as needed.
  • Must develop and maintain strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to advise and inform claim personnel relative to Claims System and Administration.
  • Must possess the ability to work well with others.

The salary range for this position is $83,000.00 - $145,000.00

Starting salary will depend on level of experience

This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses
