Job Summary:
Successful and growing Group Employee Benefits Insurance Brokerage seeks an energetic, intelligent and pleasant claims specialist. The Claims Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the eligibility team by ensuring accurate documentation, timely resolution, and effective communication throughout the claims resolution process. This role helps facilitate efficient claim support to clients, producers and account managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the intake and resolution of claims inquires
- Review claim documentation for completeness and request missing information as needed
- Maintain and update claim notes, ensuring up to date follow up
- Communicate with policyholders, carriers, vendors, and clients regarding claim status and documentation
- Support the Eligibility team with administrative tasks and reporting
- Track claim progress and follow up on outstanding items
- Other duties as needed
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–2 years of administrative, customer service, or insurance-related experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with insurance terminology and claims processes
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

- Salary Range:
- Varies based on experience
Pay: $20.61 - $29.64 per hour
