We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Class 1 Brick and Block Tramper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bricks and blocks to various construction sites. Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 flatbed lorries for the delivery of bricks and blocks across designated routes.
- Ensure all loads are secured correctly before departure and during transit, adhering to safety standards.
- Plan delivery schedules in coordination with site requirements and company logistics.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to each shift, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and logbooks.
- Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies during transportation activities.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials at depots or construction sites as required.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Skills
- Valid Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or lorries.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting building materials.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, with an emphasis on punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to operate flatbed trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring secure load handling.
- Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, warehouse staff, and team members.
- Physically fit with the ability to handle manual tasks such as securing loads and assisting with loading/unloading when necessary.
