Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Class 1 Brick and Block Tramper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bricks and blocks to various construction sites. This role requires a professional driver with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to operate flatbed vehicles. Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 flatbed lorries for the delivery of bricks and blocks across designated routes.
• Ensure all loads are secured correctly before departure and during transit, adhering to safety standards.
• Plan delivery schedules in coordination with site requirements and company logistics.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to each shift, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and logbooks.
• Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies during transportation activities.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials at depots or construction sites as required.
• Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Skills

• Valid Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or lorries.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting building materials.
• Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, with an emphasis on punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to operate flatbed trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring secure load handling.
• Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, warehouse staff, and team members.
• Physically fit with the ability to handle manual tasks such as securing loads and assisting with loading/unloading when necessary.
