Class 1 Driver

Chappelow Sports Turf Ltd are specialist natural sports turf contractors, undertaking a range of projects including sports turf construction and renovation, land drainage and pitch maintenance. Our diverse client base includes Professional football and rugby clubs, golf courses, cricket clubs and racecourses.

Due to expansion we are actively seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated team. This key role will involve operating our class 1 tractor unit with low loader trailer moving a range of plant machinery, including 360's, telehandlers and tractors with a variety of specialist implements around the U.K.

The nature of our work requires longer hours to be worked from April – October, for which excellent overtime rates will be paid . It is essential that our productivity is maximized during this period, during the quieter season, your duties will be to support the yard at our head office, so we are looking for individuals who enjoy a challenge.

Essential requirements:

• Full UK/EU driving license with Class 1
• Plant experience
• Willing to work long days and weekends when required by the company
• A commitment to Health and Safety, and upholding the company’s commitment to quality

Desirable experience in any of the following but not essential:

• Tractor and trailer operation

In house training can be given to any candidates that have a good attitude to learning new skills and the correct work ethic.
Salary negotiable depending experience, with the opportunity for significant additional earnings through overtime/weekend work.
