Class 1 Drivers required (multiple vacancies)

MTS Logistics Ltd are a family-led Logistic and Warehousing company who run a modern, well-presented specialised fleet of vehicles offering general and contract haulage solutions.

We are looking for Class 1 Drivers mainly on day shift, but there are some opportunities on nights.

More about the role

• Class 1 Drivers
• Class 1 work will comprise of flatbed, step frame trailers and curtain siders.
• Day shift work starting typically between 04:00am - 06:00am.
• Shifts lengths are typically between 10 - 12 hours.
• Weekly pay on a Friday.
• Driving a smart modern fleet
• Typically Monday - Friday, however happy to accommodate other shift patterns eg Sunday to Thursday

Responsibilities

• Operate your designated vehicle to deliver goods safely and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Load and unload cargo, including flatbed operations as required.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, using the business apps.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
• Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.

• Class 1 hourly rate is £15.00 per hour. Daily subsistence (tax free) £5
• Flatbed or step frame work gets a £10 a day bonus

Requirements for the role

• Class 1 licence (preferably held for two years)
• No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, TT's or IN's)
• Driver Tacho Card
• DQC card (Driver CPC)
• Good knowledge of legal obligations regarding operating HGV's

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.45-£16.36 per hour
