Class 1 Recovery Truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Recovery Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and equipment using specialised recovery vehicles, primarily flatbed lorries. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate commercial recovery vehicles efficiently. Duties

• Operate flatbed recovery lorries to transport vehicles and equipment across various locations.
• Safely load and unload vehicles, ensuring securement during transit.
• Respond promptly to recovery calls, providing efficient roadside assistance.
• Conduct routine inspections of recovery vehicles to ensure safety and operational standards are maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of recoveries performed, including mileage and vehicle condition reports.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations whilst on duty, including traffic laws and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding job status and vehicle conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles, preferably with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed recovery or similar specialised vehicles.
• Delivery driver experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of vehicle recovery procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to operate flatbed lorries confidently and efficiently under various conditions.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple recoveries daily.

Pay: £36,000.00 per year
