Class A CDL, Crane and Heavy Machinery Operator

Caserta's is a tree service and Landscaping company, looking to hire an experienced LOCAL CDL truck driver to serve our clients around the St. Tammany Parish area.

We are looking for candidates who have experience driving cranes with a boom and/or familiar with driving a vehicle with air breaks. Must be familiar with a 10-speed transmission with no clutch.

Also must be knowlegable of operating heavy machinery also

Someone who is knowledgeable with preventative maintenance on vehicles.

Someone who is good with following directions and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transporting equipment to job sights.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• On sight inspections
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Valid truck driving license'
• Class A CDL

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
