Class A CDL Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and dependable Class A CDL Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent driving skills, including experience with manual transmissions and various types of trailers such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Duties

  • Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks with manual transmissions across assigned routes.
  • Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
  • Transport goods via route driving, ensuring timely delivery to customers or distribution centers.
  • Handle various types of trailers including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks based on assignment.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to driving, cargo securement, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delivery issues.

Experience

  • Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and freight delivery.
  • Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred.
  • Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is a plus.
  • Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures is desirable.
  • Ability to operate additional equipment such as forklifts is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of route planning and adherence to DOT regulations is essential. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety and efficiency on the road while providing exceptional service to clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1,125.00 - $2,000.00 per week

  • Flat bed & Dry Van: 5 years (Preferred)
