Class A CDL Driver

Established in 1966, Poul’s Landscaping & Nursery, Inc. is a thriving, family-owned-and-operated business based in Long Grove, IL. Poul’s is uniquely constructed with three divisions working together: a full-service residential maintenance/enhancements division with a robust plant healthcare program, all aspects of design/construction, and a wholesale nursery with over 150 acres in two Illinois locations. Poul’s has a small-office atmosphere with big business sales numbers.

Summary:
The Class A CDL Driver will be responsible for transportation of landscaping materials and stock to job sites. Position requires loading and unloading materials/stock and the occasional assistance with tree installations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate six wheel dump trucks and flatbed trailers.
• Pick up material/stock, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
• Loading and unloading of material/stock in a manner that prevents damage.
• Familiar with operating skid steer tractors for loading.
• Completing, storing, and submitting all necessary documentation/paperwork.
• Reporting all vehicle-related issues for urgent attention.
• Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
• Clean driving record.
• Compliance with all road and transport rules.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Exhibit a physical fitness level required to be effective on a daily basis.

Compensation: $25-$30/hour, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
