Class A CDL Driver (Home Every Night)

Position: CDL Driver (Class A License) Load, transport, and deliver materials
Reporting To: Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

Location: Sioux City, IA

Responsibilities

• Perform required preventive maintenance routines.

• Report actual and potential problems to the supervisor.

• Assist in the planning and scheduling of the delivery sequence.

• Assist in the pulling materials if required.

• Check and verify load against the bills of lading.

• Secure materials and loads for safe transport.

• Complete required documentation.

• Communicate schedule and delivery sequence changes.

• Communicate information and concerns provided by the customer.

• Assist in the development and training of other crew members.

Expectations

• Drive the truck in accordance with DOT, State /Federal regulations.

• Complete company and DOT documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

• Support and encourage other crew members.

• Comply with health and safety and OSHA requirements and policies.

• Represent the company in a professional, friendly, manner.

• Achieve on-time delivery to internal and external customers.

• Promote good departmental and inter-departmental team spirit.

• Support Continuous Improvement Programs, HR and other company initiatives.

• To carry out duties in accordance with ISO standards, DOT, and other company procedures.

• Excellent Attendance and Punctuality.
