Class A CDL Driver – Local Flatbed

Responsibilities

• Earn $28.68–$33.52/HR! Weekly Pay! Opportunity for OT!
• Seasonal position with strong potential for full-time hire based on company needs
• Schedule: Monday–Friday Start Time: 6:30 AM
• Operate a Straight Truck with Flatbed Trailer (automatic transmission)
• Deliver metal materials to local customers
• Touch freight involved with loading, unloading, and securing materials
• Average 6–8 stops per day

Load Securement & Equipment:

• Secure loads to ensure they are within weight limits and safe for transport
• Tarp loads in bad weather using a bow tarp system
• Climb on/off the truck to unstrap, secure, and tarp loads when required
• Daily Duties Include:
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle
• Load and unload materials at pickup and delivery locations
• Verify material condition and quantities during loading/unloading
• Report vehicle maintenance issues
• Report overages, shortages, or damaged materials
• Maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance and safe driving practices
• Represent the company professionally and courteously with customers
• Assist warehouse or yard staff when necessary

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission trucks
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• No DUIs/DWIs within the last 5 years
• CDL driving experience preferred (12 months or more strongly preferred)
• Ability to handle touch freight, load securement, and tarping
• Must be capable of meeting lifting and physical requirements of the role
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements
