CLASS A CDL DRIVER WALKING FLOOR GARBAGE TRANSFER TO GWINNER

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to operate a walking floor garbage transfer truck, transporting waste materials to Gwinner. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to efficient waste management and environmental responsibility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving background, excellent route management skills, and a commitment to safety standards. Your expertise will ensure timely, reliable service while maintaining the highest safety and operational standards. Must be self-motivated and willing to work responsibly with very minimal supervision.

Duties

• Safely operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer equipped with a walking floor system for efficient waste transfer operations
• Drive route-specific trucks between transfer stations and disposal facilities in Gwinner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Unload waste materials using the hydraulic walking floor
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and safety equipment
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, cargo details, and inspection reports in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any operational issues
• Assist with loading when necessary (open tarp for the facility to live load your trailer and close tarp system when loaded)

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or dump trucks
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles preferred
• Experience operating walking floors is a plus but not necessary
• Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures for commercial trucking
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements for commercial drivers
• Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle freight loading tasks safely

At White Trucking we strive to provide exceptional service to an amazing customer base with a "Can-Do" attitude and approach to our daily operations. We are looking to add a Part-Time or Full-time position based out of Wahpeton hauling to Gwinner from various locations. Drivers are expected to keep equipment clean and in good operating condition that meets or exceeds DOT Safety Expectations.

Must be able to operate a crank handle to open a manual roll tarp on a walking floor trailer

Newer model trucks, trailers are a mixture of new and older but always kept up in good condition, repairs made whenever necessary.

Hauling consists of hauling trash from transfer stations to the Gwinner Landfill via Semi and Walking Floor Trailers. Will be loading at the customer site and returning to Gwinner to unload.
