Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial trucks, including dump trucks ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Drive route-specific deliveries, managing schedules efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude on the road
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement to guarantee safety and vehicle longevity
• Maintain detailed logs of mileage, fuel consumption, load details, and delivery documentation for compliance purposes
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Able to drive a standard transmission
• Acquire and maintain all appropriate licenses and certifications required by federal, state and county entities
• Load and unload truck

Skills

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement with a clean driving record
• Proven experience driving manual transmission trucks in various conditions
• Familiarity with operating dump trucks
• Strong knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling standards
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations applicable to commercial trucking
