Job Description

Crosscreek Environmental is hiring a dependable Class A CDL Sod Truck Delivery Driver to join our team.

This position is responsible for safely transporting and delivering sod, materials, and related equipment to job sites throughout Florida. We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, safety-minded, and able to represent our company well while working with crews, customers, vendors, and job site contacts.

Crosscreek Environmental provides environmental and land management services throughout Florida, including lake and pond maintenance, shoreline restoration, erosion control, wetland mitigation, dredging, stormwater services, and related environmental work.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport sod, materials, and equipment.
Deliver sod and related materials to job sites throughout Florida.
Properly load, secure, transport, and unload materials.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer.
Follow DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, crews, and customers as needed.
Maintain delivery tickets, logs, inspection reports, and required paperwork.
Keep truck and equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained.
Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, delays, or job site problems.
Assist with light yard, loading, or job site duties when needed.
Represent Crosscreek Environmental professionally at all times.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL required.
Clean driving record preferred.
Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
Must be able to safely secure loads.
Must be comfortable driving to job sites, construction areas, communities, golf courses, and commercial properties.
Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather.
Ability to lift, push, pull, climb, bend, and handle physical work as needed.
Must follow all DOT safety requirements and company procedures.
Must be able to pass any required background check, drug screening, or motor vehicle record review.

Preferred Experience

Sod delivery experience.
Flatbed, dump trailer, lowboy, or material delivery experience.
Landscaping, construction, agricultural, or site work experience.
Forklift, skid steer, loader, or equipment operation experience.
Basic mechanical knowledge or ability to perform routine truck checks.

Pay & Schedule

$25–$37 per hour, depending on experience
Full-time position
Monday–Friday schedule
Daytime hours
Overtime may be available as needed
