Class A CDL - Water Truck Driver

Job Summary

Commercial Solar Solutions, LLC is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL / Water Truck Driver to support solar installation projects across the United States. In this role, you will operate water trucks, 3500 trucks with gooseneck trailers, and other commercial vehicles to transport water, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently to active job sites. This position is ideal for experienced drivers who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to contribute to the growing renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles safely while following all DOT and company safety regulations.
  • Transport water, equipment, and materials to and across solar project sites.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after use to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and identify mechanical or operational issues.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, including time logs, maintenance logs, deliveries, and completed work.
  • Adjust operations based on environmental and site conditions to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Assist with manual labor and additional duties when not operating vehicles or equipment.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support project demands.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in remote locations and challenging environments.
  • Ability to work extended shifts of up to 12 hours.
  • Must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and manual labor as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the job site is required.

Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with “N” Tanker Endorsement required.
  • Previous experience operating water trucks in construction, infrastructure, or similar environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations and procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • Ability to navigate remote job sites and work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
