Job Summary:
The Class B CDL Driver Operator for Hobbs Anchor Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of equipment and personnel to and from job sites. This position involves operating and maintaining specialized vehicles, primarily focusing on setting anchors in the oilfield. The candidate should possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and have a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
1. Vehicle Operation:
- Safely operate and drive Class B commercial vehicles to transport equipment, crew, and materials to various oilfield locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations while operating vehicles.
2. Anchor Setting:
- Execute the setting and installation of anchors at oilfield sites according to company specifications.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines for anchor setting activities, ensuring accuracy and precision.
3. Equipment Maintenance:
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
4. Safety Compliance:
- Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and drills to enhance safety awareness.
5. Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with the dispatch team, fellow operators, and other relevant personnel.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or near misses immediately to the appropriate parties.
6. Documentation:
- Complete and maintain accurate records, including logbooks, inspection reports, and any other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company record-keeping requirements.
7. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the anchor setting team to ensure efficient and coordinated operations.
- Assist in loading and unloading equipment, as needed.
8. Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a CDL driver, preferably in the oilfield industry.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel to different job sites.
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
