Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions and other specialized equipment to transport freight across designated routes
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or other necessary equipment
• Safely handle different types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and general cargo
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo details in accordance with DOT requirements
• Follow route schedules diligently to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit

Experience

• Proven commercial driving experience with a valid Class A CDL license
• Experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmissions preferred
• Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized trucks such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks is highly desirable
• Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures and route driving
• Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment for cargo handling is a plus
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and transportation regulations to ensure compliance at all times
