Class A Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class A Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle a range of driving tasks, including operating various types of vehicles.

Duties

• Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Ensure the safe handling of products during transportation, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Class A Delivery Driver, or similar role in logistics or transportation.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• English language skills to read and interpret documents

Responsibilities:

• Temporary Position
• Full-Time
• Work 6 am-3:30pm
• Communicate with customers.
• Keep trip records for daily logs
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid DOT Medical Card
