Class B Hook truck Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A Hook Truck Driver to deliver, pick up, and service roll-off dumpsters for residential, commercial, and construction customers. The ideal candidate will have experience operating hook-lift or roll-off trucks, maintain a strong commitment to safety, and provide excellent customer service while representing the company in the field.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A hook-lift (roll-off) truck to deliver and retrieve dumpsters at customer locations
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
• Secure and transport containers in accordance with all DOT safety requirements
• Place dumpsters accurately in requested locations while protecting customer property
• Tarp loads as required and ensure proper load securement
• Complete route sheets, driver logs, and required paperwork accurately and on time
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route updates, service issues, or delays
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers at all times

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
• Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving experience (hook-lift or roll-off experience preferred)
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong spatial awareness and ability to maneuver in tight spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
• Strong communication and time-management skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in waste management, construction, or environmental services
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems and basic truck maintenance

Work Environment:

• Outdoor work at construction sites, residential neighborhoods, and commercial properties
• Local routes (home daily)
• Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required
