Class B Truck Driver(Garbage Truck)

Duties

• Safely operate Class B trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to collect waste from residential and commercial sites
• Load and unload waste materials efficiently using mechanical knowledge of truck equipment and lifting techniques
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Drive along assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure timely pickups
• Assist with maintenance tasks including basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary
• Maintain accurate logs of pickups, routes completed, and any incidents or equipment issues
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route updates or operational concerns

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating Class B trucks
• Proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks such as front loaders, rear loaders, roll-offs, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers
• Strong mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of waste collection procedures and safety regulations is highly desirable
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and customer service skills

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
