Class C Driver

Garbage Gorilla is a mobile open-top dumpster compaction company operating in the greater Chicagoland area, providing innovative solutions to traditional waste problems. Our patented mobile compaction truck uses gravity and hydraulics to crush garbage on-site, creating space for more debris. This dramatically reduces our clients' waste fees and the need for frequent trips to swap out dumpsters or to the landfill, significantly reducing diesel fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, and your carbon footprint.

Role Description

Garbage Gorilla seeks a full-time Compaction Driver for an on-site position in the greater Chicagoland & NW Indiana area. This person will drive and operate our compaction truck to perform waste compaction services for our active and prospective clients. This role requires someone with exceptional communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to maintain the truck and comply with all traffic and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Non-CDL IL Class C license (in good standing) and experience in truck driving
• Current DOT medical card
• Pass pre-employment screening
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of truck maintenance and routine inspections
• Familiarity with local traffic laws and safety regulations
• Ability to use simple technology
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in waste management or related fields is a plus
