Class D Delivery Driver/Shipping Helper

Tempco Glass Fabrication LLC, a young and fast-growing glass tempering and fabrication company in Flushing, NY, is seeking a motivated delivery driver/warehouse shipping helper to join our team. We will provide all the necessary training and support to help the right candidate succeed.

Regular Working hours: Morning shift and driver, Monday to Friday from 5:00 am or 6:00 am; night shift helper, Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm (including a 1-hour break). Some rotating Fridays and Saturdays according to management arrangement. However, hours might vary according to the delivery schedule.

Starting pay negotiable based on experience. Weekly overtime is paid 1.5 times the regular payment.

Responsibilities include:

• Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting products and doing deliveries, both intrastate and interstate. No overnight delivery.
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Coordinate with the shipping team to load and unload glass packages from trucks and dollies.
• Work in the Shipping team in the warehouse when not on deliveries.
• Communicate with customers regarding order issues.

Requirements:

• Hold Driver’s License (Class D and above)
• Follow a flexible schedule
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Detail and safety-oriented
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred
• A second language of either Spanish or Chinese is strongly preferred
• Able to do daily communication in English
• Previous shipping experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
