Classical Music Teacher

Job Title: Classical Music Teacher (Vocal & Instrumental)

Location: RISHS International School, Mangadu

Position Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Indian Classical Music (Vocal & Instrumental) to students across different grades.
• Train students in both theoretical and practical aspects of classical music.
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum and cultural activities.
• Identify and nurture students with exceptional musical talent.
• Conduct music practice sessions, choir rehearsals, and instrumental training.
• Prepare students for inter-school, intra-school competitions, and cultural programs.
• Organize and guide students for annual day programs, assemblies, and special celebrations.
• Ensure discipline and maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with other performing arts teachers (dance, western music, drama, etc.) for integrated performances.
• Support and guide students in club activities related to music.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge and expertise in Indian Classical Vocal (Carnatic / Hindustani) and at least one classical instrument (Veena, Violin, Mridangam, Flute, or Harmonium).
• Ability to teach music theory, notation, and rhythm.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with patience in handling children.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students in music.
• Creativity in developing musical compositions and group performances.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Music (Vocal/Instrumental) from a recognized institution.
• Prior teaching experience in a school/academy will be an added advantage.
• Freshers with strong musical skills and stage experience may also apply.

Remuneration:

• Salary as per school norms and candidate’s experience.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
