Position: Indian Classical Vocal Teacher (Full-time/Part-time)

Location: Swar Kala Sangam, Gurgaon (Sector 49, Sector 27, Sector 83)

Swar Kala Sangam is a leading performing arts academy in Gurgaon, committed to providing quality training in Indian Classical Music, Dance, and Fine Arts. Affiliated with Prayag Sangeet Samiti, the academy follows structured syllabi while encouraging creativity, performance, and holistic artistic growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Teach Indian Classical Vocal Music (Hindustani style) to students across different age groups.
  • Train students in Alaap, Taan, Bandish, Khayal, Dhrupad, Tarana, and Bhajans.
  • Provide theoretical knowledge of Ragas, Taals, and compositions along with practical lessons.
  • Prepare students for stage performances, music examinations (Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Trinity, etc.), and competitions.
  • Guide students in voice culture, sur, taal, and improvisation techniques.
  • Encourage appreciation of Indian Classical Music and its cultural depth.
  • Collaborate with other faculty for concerts, fusion programs, and workshops.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate/Postgraduate/Diploma in Indian Classical Vocal Music from a recognized university or music academy.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching/performing experience (exceptional freshers may also be considered).
  • Strong command over Raag system, Taal system, and compositions.
  • Excellent vocal ability and knowledge of music theory & history.
  • Good communication skills and ability to teach both beginners and advanced students.
  • Passionate about teaching and preserving Indian Classical Music traditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,729.86 - ₹30,000.00 per month
