Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Classroom Co-Teacher for Toddlers! In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with other teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help foster curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills in infants from six weeks to twelve months old. Duties
- Assist in designing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote early literacy, motor skills, and social-emotional development.
- Support daily classroom routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and sensory play.
- Engage with infants through interactive play, communication, and physical activities that stimulate growth and curiosity.
- Monitor and document each child's developmental progress, noting milestones and areas needing additional support.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily experiences, progress, and any concerns that arise.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education tailored for infants.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and Montessori or other educational philosophies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage parents effectively.
- Certification in childcare or early childhood education (e.g., CDA credential) is desirable; relevant coursework or training in toddler care or preschool experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work physically active shifts involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods while maintaining a lively and positive attitude. Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
