Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters the intellectual and social development of students. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in subjects such as literacy, math, and physical education.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs or autism, through tailored instruction and early intervention strategies.
- Foster student growth through mentoring and tutoring, ensuring each child's unique learning style is addressed.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational initiatives to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns that may arise.
- Incorporate learning technology into lessons to enhance engagement and understanding.
- Organize library services and resources to support literacy education within the classroom.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Education, ECE or a related field; certification in teaching is preferred.
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally within early childhood education or private school environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other innovative teaching approaches is a plus.
- Proficiency in proofreading and writing skills to ensure high-quality instructional materials are produced.
