Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Clean Room Technician / Supervisor to support and lead operations within our photomask manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong science or mathematics foundation who excels in leadership, communication, and team development. Technical photomask training will be provided to ensure success in all production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
o Supervise daily activities of lab technicians to ensure safety, accuracy, and productivity.
o Coordinate workflows, prioritize tasks, and maintain smooth clean room operations.
o Foster a positive workplace culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Technical & Production Support
o Learn and apply photomask fabrication processes through comprehensive on-the-job training.
o Operate and monitor production equipment, inspection tools, and measurement systems.
o Ensure products meet exacting quality standards and customer specifications.
- People & Performance Management
o Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
o Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training new staff.
o Support employee development plans and promote cross-training initiatives.
- Quality & Compliance
o Uphold safety programs, cleanroom protocols, and laboratory standards.
o Support documentation control, data collection, and reporting practices.
o Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions for quality concerns.
- Systems & Data Management
o Utilize computer systems to track production data and equipment performance.
o Support continuous improvement efforts using digital tools and metrics.
o Contribute to process documentation, SOP updates, and workflow optimizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a scientific or mathematical field (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics).
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a technical or production environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on team success.
- Proficient with computers, data entry, and standard office applications.
- Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn specialized photomask manufacturing processes and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, laboratory settings, or semiconductor-related environments.
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocol or precision inspection systems.
- Understanding of ISO quality systems or similar compliance frameworks.
Work Environment
- Cleanroom laboratory setting with strict contamination control measures.
- Standing, walking, and light equipment handling may be required for extended periods.
- Position may include occasional evening or weekend shifts depending on production demands.
