Location: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Health and Wellness Center - Stow, OH

Job Type:

ER – Experienced Cleaner – $17/hr

Monday thru Friday from 7am to 3:30pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented ER Cleaner to join our healthcare team. As an ER Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitized environment in the Emergency Room to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning and sanitization of all areas within the ER, including patient rooms, waiting areas, bathrooms, and hallways.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces and equipment regularly.
• Ensure proper waste disposal, including biohazardous waste, following health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness in emergency treatment areas and support patient care staff as needed.
• Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Comply with all hospital safety standards and infection control policies.
• Respond to emergency cleaning needs quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of hospital cleaning procedures and infection control standards.
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
