Cleaner Janitorial Worker - Day Porter

Duties - Weekly

• Dust horizontal surfaces
• Power wash trash compactor, trash enclosures and surrounding areas
• Hose down loading docks and ramps in accordance with municipal codes and ordinances.

Monthly

• High dust all surfaces, including high reach projections, pipes, ledges and light fixtures. Spot wash as needed
• Vacuum HVAC diffusers and vents
• Pressure wash loading docks base, truck bays and surrounding areas in accordance with municipal codes and ordinances.

Day Porter Services

Day personnel shall be responsible for on-going policing, cleaning and re-stocking duties and all other duties required by Manager to maintain the property in a clean and professional appearance.

Personnel will use caution to ensure the safety of building visitors and occupants, while performing their duties.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following all chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
• Strong attention to safety protocol adherence to maintain a secure work environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors.
• Prior experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Parking Garage

• Police parking areas and structure perimeter for trash and debris
• Empty trash containers, wipe clean and replace liners as needed
• Wipe clean and fine screen ash urns/ sand jars. Replace sand as often as needed
• Wipe down signage at entrances and exits
• Mop all curbs
• Sweep and mop risers and landings
• Stairwells - Spot clean walls
• Stairwells - Dust and wipe clean railings as needed, but not less than once per week
• Elevators and lobbies to be cleaned in accordance with the elevator cleaning specifications
• Clean all light fixtures, pipes and conduits
• Wipe down all garage signage
• Remove cobwebs
