Cleaning Crew

RISENY, a new world-class exhibition and attraction, is looking for a responsible custodian to maintain and clean our facilities. This position will play a key role in providing our visitors with a first-rate experience and ensuring the upkeep of the exhibition.

Responsibilities

• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out the trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances, detailing, or clearing snow from sidewalks.
• Empties trash receptacles; prepares trash for compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Skills

• Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Familiarity with basic handyman practices
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including non-traditional hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events

• Strong communication skills.
• Able to complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality
• Ability to interact with staff and visitors in the venue while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
