About Us:
Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures and tests components for launch vehicles and ground support applications—providing many types of valves including throttling valves, ball valves, check and relief valves, vent and relief valves, pressure reducing, both manual and dome loaded, regulators, sleeve valves, butterfly valves, solenoid valves plus many others.
About the role:
PFC is in search for a Clean Room Technician who will be responsible for testing our aerospace valves and other components for launch vehicles (rockets!).
The role is a fully on-site role located in our Lincoln, CA offices and will report directly to the Production Manager.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What You’ll Do:
In this role as Clean Room/Valve Technician, you will work in the state-of-the-art clean room, supporting aerospace manufacturing operations. You will:
- Assemble and tests valves by following assembly procedures, job travelers or other customer specifications in a clean room environment with clean room attire with great attention to detail.
- Inspect, test and verify accuracy of assembled unit for conformance to standards and customer requirements and document the test results (via test report) of the product.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to lead technician.
- Lift, load, and move supplies and finish product between staging and work area.
- Ensure laser marking of product with identifying data prior to shipment.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performs other related duties as required.
What You’ll Need:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Ability to safely use and maintain a large variety of tools and equipment, associated with the assembly of valves.
- Ability to read customer specification sheets and schematic drawings within first 90 days.
- Basic computer skills. (Microsoft word and excel)
- Ability to work independently or as a team member.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Good communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Proven ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures needed.
- Knowledge of contamination control processes and techniques, clean rooms, laminar flow environments, FOE/FOD, etc.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand written or oral requirements, procedures and specifications to perform assigned tasks.
- Requires the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work.
- Familiarity with 5S and lean procedures expected.
- Requires the ability and willingness to work overtime as necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay Range: $25.00 per hour. Commensurate with candidate experience.
