Overview
The Clerk - Discovery position in the Staff Support Unit at the Circuit Attorney's Office will be responsible for managing the electronic discovery process to effectively support the trial teams at the office. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clerk to join our team.

Duties

· Prepare, organize and manage initial discovery materials in compliance with state statutes.

· Collect, review and redact discovery documents, including police reports, witness statements and evidence files.

· Utilize case management software to track discovery requests, response and deadlines.

· Ensure timely and accurate production of discovery materials.

· Electronically file legal documents.

· Monitor, verify status of, and troubleshoot issues related to e-filed documents.

· Work with attorneys to prepare case files by organizing and maintaining electronic records.

· Provide administrative support to the Discovery Unit.

· Respond to inquiries regarding discovery from defense attorneys, law enforcement agencies and court personnel.

· Other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. An associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice, legal studies or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of clerical/administrative experience, with at least one year in a legal environment.
  • Experience with electronic filing systems and legal case management systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Missouri Rule 14 is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
