Client Concierge
Reports to: Owner & Director of Operations & Sales
Role Overview
The Client Concierge is the primary steward of the customer experience at The Durbin Compound. This role bridges sales, design, and production by ensuring every client feels informed, supported, and confident from first contact through project completion. The Concierge operates as a calm, professional point of contact—coordinating communication, supporting design clarity, and helping projects move forward smoothly without chaos.
This position plays a key role in elevating the company’s brand, client trust, and operational efficiency as the business continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience & Communication
- Interior Design experience required
- Serve as the primary point of contact for both prospective and active clients
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound calls, emails, and messages
- Schedule in-home consultations and showroom meetings for the sales representative
- Provide consistent updates to active clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure clients feel heard, informed, and supported—without overpromising or creating noise
Showroom & Meeting Hub
- Utilize the company’s trusted suppliers, Columbus-area showrooms, as a professional client meeting environment
- Host scheduled meetings with prospective and current clients by appointment
- Support selections, design clarification, and pre-construction conversations
- Maintain the showroom as a calm, organized, and professional client-facing space
- Use the showroom as a tool to improve clarity, efficiency, and confidence—not as a retail walk-in environment
Design & Project Support
- Assist with kitchen and bathroom design development using 2020 Design software
- Support the sales and production teams by preparing renderings, layouts, and visual aids
- Help clients understand selections, layouts, and design intent
- Organize and document client selections and decisions for clean handoffs to production
Sales & Production Coordination
- Support the sales process by ensuring smooth transitions from inquiry to signed project
- Assist with pre-construction coordination and communication
- Help track outstanding client decisions, approvals, and follow-ups
- Work closely with the Director of Operations & Sales to maintain consistent workflows
Relationship Building & Brand Representation
- Represent The Durbin Compound with professionalism, warmth, and confidence
- Attend NARI meetings as necessary to promote the company with the team
- Help cultivate long-term client relationships and encourage referrals and reviews
- Uphold the company’s standards for professionalism, clarity, and calm execution

- Clients feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their experience
- Sales meetings are well-prepared and efficiently scheduled
- Fewer communication gaps, misunderstandings, or last-minute issues
- Clean handoffs between sales, design, and production
- The showroom functions as a productive, intentional client experience hub
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Highly organized, calm, and detail-oriented
- Strong communicator with excellent people skills
- Comfortable managing multiple conversations and priorities
- Design-minded with an eye for aesthetics and presentation
- Basic knowledge of 2020 or Revit (or the like) Design software
- Self-directed and proactive—does not need micromanagement
- Aligns with a professional, disciplined, and growth-oriented culture
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
