Position Title: Client Executive — Oil, Gas, & Chemicals

Job Scope and Accountabilities:
The Client Executive – Oil, Gas, & Chemicals role will be responsible for strategically developing and expanding sales territory through targeted prospecting, relationship-building, and market analysis. Success is measured by territory penetration, pipeline generation, and consistent achievement of sales targets. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the Power Utilities & Renewables industry, particularly as they relate to engineering, construction, asset management, and project execution. The ability to present and demonstrate Kahua’s unique value proposition within the Power Utilities & Renewables sector is critical to success. The Client Executive must thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing several simultaneous sales campaigns and ensuring a seamless transition of closed accounts to colleagues in professional services and support. Immediate documentation of deal-related activities in our CRM and accurate reporting of deal status is essential and is a measured component of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and target major Oil, Gas, & Chemicals accounts in the United States.
- Develop account plans which effectively cover the sales process cradle to grave – including outbound prospecting and RFP tracking through procurement, negotiation, and deal close.
- Engage and influence political, technical, and financial stakeholders (Directors, Engineers, CIOs, Procurement, Legal, etc.).
- Present and demonstrate Kahua’s value proposition, highlighting our ability to enhance project efficiency, compliance, and collaboration in Oil & Gas environments.
- Leverage an existing consultative sales methodology and drive sales excellence and quality of execution (i.e., MEDDPICC or similar methodology for sales qualification & forecasting).
- Implement and manage mutual action plans for predictable and controlled closing
- Drive cross-functional alignment and partnership with customer success, solutions engineering, solutions consulting, proposal management, sales enablement and sales development and marketing.
- Coordinate and manage the smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales activities, including collaboration with CSMs to communicate customer goals, pain points, and all relevant customer information to ensure a smooth hand-off to post sale.
- Develop an increased knowledge of key competitors to communicate our value proposition to customers effectively
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts; provide sales management with reports on sales activities and projects as requested
Experience Required:
- Proven record of accomplishment: 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, including closing deals at $250K - $1M+ ARR with multi-year, multi-stakeholder structures.
- Prior experience in the construction or project management industry, with direct exposure to Oil, Gas, & Chemicals related projects is highly desirable.
- Strong consultative selling skills and ability to navigate complex sales cycles.
- Strong political and organizational acumen; ability to map influence and build champions.
- Excellent communicator with executive presence across both technical and business audiences.
- Willingness to travel 20-40% (minimum of 1–2 times per month).
Education & Professional Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Interpersonal & Business Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to conduct high-level product demonstrations (pre-sales support available).
- Strong ability to grasp and articulate the challenges facing healthcare organizations in construction, project management, and facilities oversight.
- Comfortable engaging with healthcare executives, project leaders, and technical teams to understand and address their project management needs.
