Marketing Plus a division of Church Offset Printing Inc. is seeking a Client IT & Web Support Specialist to join our team in Albert Lea. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong interest in both IT systems and website management.

As a key member of our technical support team, you will help clients troubleshoot email and website issues, manage backups and security, oversee domain/DNS/SSL updates, and manage Google Business Profiles (GBPs). This is a client-facing role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a way that clients can understand.

This position is hybrid. Mondays are required in the office, with additional in-office days as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for client IT-related issues, including email setup, troubleshooting, and connectivity problems.
  • Monitor, perform, and manage website backups, ensuring recovery plans are in place.
  • Maintain and enhance website security protocols, including SSL certificates and software updates.
  • Handle domain management, DNS updates, and SSL installations or renewals.
  • Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles (GBPs) for clients, including updates, troubleshooting, and local SEO best practices.
  • Troubleshoot website errors, plugin conflicts, and hosting-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the web design/development team to support smooth launches, migrations, and updates.
  • Document processes and maintain records of client IT systems, domains, and security status.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear updates and recommendations.
  • Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong knowledge of DNS, SSL, domains, and web hosting environments.
  • Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with IT troubleshooting (email clients, connectivity, general software issues).
  • Experience managing Google Business Profiles (GBPs), including updates and issue resolution.
  • Understanding of website security best practices and backup management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Experience with cPanel, Plesk, or other hosting control panels.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and website configuration.
  • Prior client-facing IT or technical support experience.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Albert Lea, MN 56007
