Client Service Representative

Position Summary

The Client Service Representative is key to Little Red Door Cancer Agency’s mission to make the most of life and the least of cancer for medically underserved cancer patients. The Client Service Representative will be directly responsible for completing intakes for new clients referred to Little Red Door and addressing the needs and concerns of current clients. This position is based in our Muncie office and serves as an active member of Little Red Door’s Program team. The Client Service Representative will report to the Chief of Client Services and Programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs):

  • Answer multi-line telephone system to interface with clients of the Agency as a first point of contact, providing excellent customer service.
  • Assess and provide comprehensive services to clients and their families to reduce the physical, emotional, and financial burdens of cancer for medically underserved residents of central Indiana.
  • Help prioritize client needs and assess eligibility for Little Red Door’s in-house services.
  • Collect and enter client information and services in the Salesforce database including contact, demographic, and health information.
  • Provide services and support to clients through face-to-face and phone interactions, and electronic and written correspondence.
  • Serve an active role in all boutique related services, including fitting eligible clients for wigs.
  • Appropriately assign follow-up tasks based on client’s needs.
  • Collaborate with programs team to foster client advocacy and visibility of program services.
  • Work independently and within a team on special and ongoing projects, special assignments, and tasks under the general supervision of the Chief of Client Services and Programs
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by the Manager of Client Services.

  • Must be team oriented and able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • High level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Basic knowledge of community resources.
  • High degree of professionalism and positive attitude, demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy and compassion for clients.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to set and maintain appropriate client boundaries and relationships.
  • Neat appearance, exceptional degree of reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal assistance and supervision; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions effectively.
  • Must have experience of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet search engines, etc.).
  • Ability to passionately embrace the mission of The Little Red Door Cancer Agency.
  • Requires the ability to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Requires a valid IN Driver’s License and ability to drive.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or other health-related field.
  • Previous call center experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of local community resources preferred.
  • Spanish language skills a plus.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
